We hope everyone had a safe and very happy New Year celebration! 2010 is starting off to be a great year for ZÜCA. We see nothin’ but exciting things for the future! Last month we ran our first ever photo contest! We asked our friends and fans to send in pictures of themselves and their ZÜCAs for the chance to win a ZÜCA Stuff Sack. We loved the response and encourage you to keep sending your pictures to contests@zuca.com! Congratulations again to Shavon, Patrick, Leslie, and David! We hope to do more contests like this one again soon.

Another cool thing happened in January! ZÜCA was photographed in the UK’s Daily Mail with Gordon Ramsay’s wife, Tana, a contestant on Dancing on Ice! There were some pretty cool shots of Tana’s ZÜCA Sport and we thought that was TOTALLY cool.

Wow! Time has surely flown by! We can’t believe it’s already December. 2009 has been quite a year for ZÜCA and we thank each and every one of our customers and fans for your continuous support. We especially enjoy hearing stories about you, your families, and how ZÜCA has made a significant impact in your life. Please continue sharing your pictures and stories!
As 2009 draws to a close (can you believe it?!) we wanted to take a look back at all of the fun stuff we had going on!
During the months of March and April, ZÜCA ran our first web-based contests! Did you have fun searching for that sneaky leprechaun and all of those colorful eggs? We sure had fun awarding all of the winners – thank you to EVERYONE who participated! Perhaps we’ll bring that back next year.
May and June were some of our favorite months. We asked you to write to us and tell us why your Mom, Dad, and/or Grad should be awarded a ZÜCA for FREE. The tremendous amounts of stories and pictures touched all of our hearts, and trust us, we read every single entry and had them posted around the office. Thank you for sharing with us. We will DEFINITELY do this again next year. Can’t wait!
ZÜCA was the Presenting Sponsor for the 2009 ISI World Championships in July and boy did we have FUN supporting the skaters on our hometown ice! It was great to meet each and everyone of you skaters, parents, and friends. Hope to see you all again next July in Massachusetts.
In October ZÜCA donated over $2,100 to Breast Cancer Connections for the funding of support programs thanks to YOUR efforts in purchasing our pink products. We can’t wait to donate an even LARGER number next year. Breast Cancer touches everyone and is a very important cause to us, so thank you again for your help.
As 2009 ends, we are looking forward to the launch of our annual Color Me ZÜCA Design Contest in early 2010! And remember, all throughout December we will be gifting every web order with an extra Sport Insert with every ZÜCA Sport Insert Bag and Frame purchased by December 23rd. It’s just our way of showing our appreciation for the support you’ve given us over the years.

It has been an interesting summer for ZÜCA! Over the past few months ZÜCA has been working with different sports teams, athletes, and musicians, and is proud to finally announce our sponsorships!
In May, ZÜCA was introduced to 7-year old, Gia Kokotakis, who is well on her way to becoming an Olympic champion! Gia’s mom says she’s been using ZÜCA products for YEARS and loves being able to draw and write on the Düdle Insert in her Hot Pink Frame. Another cool thing happened in May – ZÜCA met Zach Velmer, drummer for STS9, a 5-piece electronic jam band that fuses live instruments with “electronica”. Zach and the rest of the band and crew were interested in hitting the road and travleing in style with ZÜCA Pros and Business Backpacks on their upcoming tour. Make sure you check out their music and keep your eyes out for them on the road with ZÜCA Pros!
In September ZÜCA signed on two more sponsorships, one with the South San Jose Cheetahs Soccer team, and the other with the Mid Michigan Derby Girls Roller Derby team. It seems the ZÜCA Sport is the perfect sports gear bag for just about any sport! The SSJ Cheetahs and MMDG will all be rolling their gear and equipment in style with ZÜCA Sports in tow.

Our Mother’s Day Contest was a huge success and we are pleased to have so many participants this year! We received TONS of inspirational and heartwarming stories about Super Moms who make sure their kids are happy, healthy, and safe EVERY day. From single parent moms to stay at home moms… it was very difficult for us to choose only two winners. Congratulations to those who won and thank you for all that participated!
