2011 Color Me ZÜCA Design Contest Official Rules

CONTEST RULES:

Any citizen of the Milky Way Galaxy is eligible to participate in this contest with the exception of ZÜCA employees, judges, and their immediate family members currently residing in any of the above locations. Persons thirteen years old and younger are required to obtain permission from a parent or guardian prior to submitting an entry form (or anything else) with personally identifiable information - there is a signature block on the contest entry form for this purpose.  The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, and is void where prohibited by law. By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules, and by the decisions of ZÜCA, which are final in all matters relating to the Contest.

 

All personal information will be guarded by ZÜCA's privacy policy, and in no case will your personal information be published without your permission, or in the case of a minor, without the written permission of a parent or guardian. Should your design be selected, you will be contacted prior to publication of any information with the exception of the actual design.  For additional information about the ZÜCA privacy policy please see the privacy policy page on our website.

 

Submitted designs and entry forms become the property of ZÜCA, Inc.  Each person may submit up to three designs.  No royalties or fees will be paid for submitted designs.


HOW TO ENTER:

  1. The Design Contest begins at 12:00:00 AM Pacific Time (PST) on January 20, 2011 and ends Midnight 12:00 PM (PST) on February 28, 2011.
  2. Go to www.zuca.com/contests, click on the Click Here link to download and print the blank template. Or simply Click Here
  3. Illustrate your insert bag design using good old colored pencils, crayons, markers, etc and color the frame with any of our existing frame colors that best compliments your insert bag design.
  4. Sign, date, and complete the form including a parents signature if you are 13 or younger.  Also make a good copy in case your entry gets lost along the way somehow.
  5. You can submit your entry electronically by scanning and emailing the completed entry in PDF or JPG format (1MB file size maximum please) to designcontests@zuca.com or, mail your form to:

DEADLINE: Designs are to be postmarked or emailed by 12:00PM Midnight Pacific Standard Time on February 28, 2011.

DETERMINATION of WINNERS AND PRIZES: Entries will be judged by a panel consisting of various members of the ZÜCA team including our Marketing and Design staff.  Semi finalists will be chosen on the basis of how well we like your cool design.

 

  1. The semi finalists will be posted on the ZÜCA website for everyone’s vote by March 14, 2011. This date has currently changed due to the extensive amount of submissions we have recieved this year! We apologize but please stay tuned this month for the semi-finalists.
  2. Anyone who visits the ZÜCA website is invited to vote for their favorite designs.  Place your vote for your top three favorite designs only once. Any repeated votes by the same person will disqualify that design.
  3. The Top 15 Semi Finalists only, will receive a certificate of entry, a 40% discount coupon good for any single purchase at zuca.com on or before 12/31/2011, as well as other various ZÜCA prizes. Our top three Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners receive prizes below.
  4. The 1st Gold winner designer will have their design created and produced for sale by ZÜCA and win one ZÜCA Sport of that model once production is complete. In addition, the winner will receive a ZÜCA Seat Cushion, Cooler, a certificate of entry, and a 40% discount coupon good for any single purchase at zuca.com on or before 12/31/2011. 
  5. The 2nd Silver winner designer will receive a ZÜCA Backpack of their choice, certificate of entry, a 40% discount coupon good for any single purchase at zuca.com on or before 12/31/2011, as well as other various ZÜCA prizes.
  6. The 3rd Bronze winner designer will receive a ZÜCA Cooler and Seat Cushion of their choice, certificate of entry, a 40% discount coupon good for any single purchase at zuca.com on or before 12/31/2011, as well as other various ZÜCA prizes.
  7. Prizes cannot be substituted or redeemed for cash.
